For Professors
Students can gain professional experience from their professors on developing strong communication and leadership skills.
Professors can create theoretical business situations that require professional communication from the students. Students can send E-Cards to their professors or fellow classmates to gain experience in recognizing the timeliness of communication, the importance of message content, and how to get the responses they need to decide a course of action.
Use CorpNote E-Cards :

-Business Scenario Exercises: Professors can create theoretical business situations that require professional communication from the students. Regarding the business situation the students can send E-Cards to their professors or fellow classmates to gain experience in a particular situation. Students can send their e-card assignments to their professors or can hand in printouts.
Here are a few ideas:
Interview Preparation- Students can role play with other students or the professor by conducting a theoretical interview. Following the interview, students can be assigned to send “Thank you” e-cards (To thank interviewer for their time) and “Follow-up” e-cards (To ensure interest and get a response) to their professor for practice. From this experience students will learn what not to say and what will get them successful results.
Client Communications- Have your students conduct a theoretical sale. Have the students send out 'Sale' E-Cards to their classmates promoting the sale. Have the students articulate in the E-card the benefits of what they are selling. Have students send “Thank You” E-Cards to their classmates (customers) so they know the value of appreciating their customer's business and increase their chances for the future.
Colleague communications- Set up a theoretical business situation where your students role play as workers in a company. They company is pushing for a complicated project that if was successful would increase the company's bottom line extensively. Have your students send 'Inspirational' e-cards to one another for moral support and strengthen their relationship as a team. Add to the situation the project was successful. Have the students send an “Employee Appreciation” E-Card as if they were in charge and their workers did an excellent job.
Make Important Decisions using Survey E-cards and Survey Manager- Create a theoretical business situation that requires students to vote on conflicting topics with a major business decision, whether it be a product/service change, dropping a product/service, or selling to a completely different market. Have the students create surveys they can send to their classmates for their opinions. Then have students make a theoretical decision based off of the survey results.
-Actual Experience
Networking-
Students can send “Greetings” E-Cards after speaking with companies at a career fair or a guest speaker that visits the class.
Students can send a Survey E-Card to someone working in the industry they wish to pursue, asking questions regarding the industry that can give student incite for the future.
Client Communications
Have students organize a sale on campus whether it be a bake sale or fundraiser for a charity. Have the students send out 'Sale' E-Cards that promotes the sale to other students on campus. The students can ask for their customer's email for the sake of the project. Have students send “Thank You” E-Cards to their customers so they know the value of appreciating their customer's business and increase their chances for the future.
Manage Events using Invitation E-cards and Invitation Manager
Students can plan an actual event that will have attendees. Students can invite their guests by creating an invitation e-card and send to the people they want to attend. Attendees will respond by clicking on the RSVP link in the invitation e-card and send a reply. Students will be able to further plan their event based on their responses like, total number of 'Yes','No,' 'Maybe' responses, total number of guests attending, and comments from those attending. Students also have the ability to view an excel report of responses. 'Reminder' e-cards can also be sent to help increase the number of attendees.
